Chocolate Crackle Cookies | diamond fork

At home, my mom usually makes all the cookies, but this year I decided to give it a try and instead of just helping her, bake cookies all on my own. I found the recipe in a festive magazine and although the recipe wasn't that good, the cookies turned out well in the end. They are great if you have a sweet tooth and if you're a lover of a great aesthetic.

Ingredients
250 g coconut flour
100 g powdered chocolate
100 g ground almonds or walnuts
200 g caster sugar
caster sugar for topping
3 eggs
0,5 dl milk

Directions
  1. Part egg yolks from egg whites. Whip the egg whites.
  2. Mix yolks, flour, chocolate, almonds and sugar. Add the beaten egg whites. If the mixture is too dry, add milk.
  3. Make small balls from the dough and roll them around in caster sugar. Place them on a baking tray.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes on 200 °C.

My family liked the cookies, but I got quite frustrated while making them. The balls wouldn't flatten in the oven, so I had to flatten them by hand. Also, the original recipe didn't have any milk in it, but when I mixed all the ingredients, the texture was way too dry to make anything out of it. They have a very rich taste because of the coconut and almonds. I suggest trying them if you love chocolate. Merry Christmas!
